Preparation for Day 1

- Infuse 100 grams of Henna Powder in an iron wok (kadhai) forming a paste with either black tea or black coffee. Adding Curd or one egg for extra conditioning is optional.
- For better results add one teaspoon each (5 grams) of organic Amla, Bhringraj, Fenugreek & Hibiscus powders to this paste and mix till all herbs are infused fully.
- Leave it soaked overnight.
Day 1:
In the morning, apply the Henna paste to your hair and leave it on for at least 45 minutes.
Wash your hair with warm water to ensure all henna particles are washed off completely.
Day 2
- Infuse 100 grams of Indigo powder in a regular vessel (glass, steel) with lukewarm water, and make a thick paste.
- Apply the paste to your hair and leave it on for at least 45 minutes.
- Wash your hair with lukewarm water to ensure all Indigo particles are washed off
Day 3. Wash your hair with a mild, sulfate-free shampoo.
Many people feel that this three-day ritual is a cumbersome one and try to mix the henna and indigo and apply it on the same day.
