Soapy Twist Micro Encapsulated Salicylic Acid is an novel product developed in- house by our experts with patents in microencapsulation technology. This product is a microencapsulated salicylic acid with 30% loading of Salicylic acid.

Microencapsulation is a process in which tiny particles or droplets of actives are enclosed or coated with a protective or carrier material, forming microcapsules.

Our microencapsulated salicylic acid is easy to incorporate in most of the rinse off and leave on formulation. Unlike regular salicylic acid which is difficult to incorporate in formulations as it leads to viscosity reduction and destabilises the formula , our microencapsulated salicylic acid doesn't affect the your product stability.

The major advantage of microencapsulated salicylic acid is its effective delivery into the skin and scalp. The microencapsulated salicylic acid in the final products breaks when its applied (shear) on skin or scalp which leads to targeted delivery of Salicylic acid. This helps in better results of Salicylic acid in a product. 

Salicylic acid is a common skincare ingredient known for its ability to exfoliate the skin, unclog pores, and treat various skin conditions such as acne, blackheads, and whiteheads.

Shelf Life : 18 Months (Unopened & Stored at 15-25 Degree Centigrade)

Usage

Application : Shampoo, Face wash, Bodywash, Creams, Scrubs, Serums, etc.

How To Use : Addition of microencapsulated salicylic acid is recommended to be done in cool down phase (below 45 degree centigrade) or last stages in most formulations with gentle stirring.

This can be cold processed as well i.e. it be added in bases like shampoo , body wash or face wash just before addition of fragrance. 

Dosages : -

Rinse off products - 0.5 to 6% (Effective Salicylic Acid - 0.15% to 1.8%)

Leave on products - 0.1 to 2% (Effective Salicylic Acid - 0.03% to 0.6%)

Please note that adding this product can change the consistency of the your formula. Please try in a small batch first to check stability.
