HOW TO USE ?

HOW TO USE HONEY MELT AND POUR SOAP BASE

Step 1

UNBOX THE SOAP BASE AND CUT IN SMALL CHUNKS

Weigh and cut the Honey soap base into small chunks.

Step 2

MELT THE SOAP BASE IN A HEAT SAFE CONTAINER IN A MICROWAVE

Melt the Honey soap base in a heat safe sanitised container. To the heat safe beaker, add a spoon ful of water for moisture loss. Place a cling film or lid over the beaker and heat for sixty seconds. Stir the base once after 60 seconds and repeat the process till the soap melts fully.

Step 3

ALTERNATVIELY, YOU MAY USE THE DOUBLE BOILER METHOD TO MELT THE SOAP BASE.

Alternatively you may use a double boiler. Add the soap chunks to a double boiler or a soap melter, add a tea spoon of water to compensate for moisture loss. Keep Stirring gently till the soap chunks melt completely. Make sure not to over heat the soap base or it will burn.

Step 4

ADD THE FRAGRANCE / ESSENTIAL OIL TO THE MELTED SOAP BASE

Add the fragrance oil/ essential oil / herbal powder to the melted soap base and mix well. Ensure that the dosage for Essential Oil should not exceed 1% and for Fragrance Oil should not exceed 2%. Limit the use of Herbal Powder to 2% of your total output.

Step 5

POUR MELTED SOAP IN SOAP MOULD

Pour the melted soap base in a heat safe soap mould and leave it to set at room temperature.

Step 6

SPRAY ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL TO RELEASE THE AIR BUBBLES

Spray Isopropyl Alcohol to release all the air bubbles on the surface of the soap.

Step 7

ONCE FULLY SET, DEMOULD THE SOAP AND SHRINK WRAP FOR FUTURE USE

Once the soap is fully hard, pop the soap out of the mould and shrink wrap in cling film for future use. Use the soap within 24 months.

INGREDIENTS

Water

H2O, steam-distilled water is used in making this soap base. It is free from impurities and hard water minerals, and provides a pure and essential base for your DIY soap-making projects, ensuring clear and clean results.

Propylene Glycol

Propylene glycol (also called glycerin) is a pharma grade colorless, odorless, viscous liquid. It is derived from vegetable oils. It acts as a surfactant, cleanser, emulsifier, and viscosity-controlling agent in cosmetics.

Sodium Stearate

Sodium stearate is the sodium salt of stearic acid. It is a white, waxy powder derived from vegetable or animal fats and oils. It acts as a cleanser, emulsifier, and viscosity-controlling agent in cosmetics.

Honey

Honey is filled with the rich skin-loving properties and is naturally hydrating as it helps to lock moisture in the skin.

Kosher Certified Glycerin

Glycerin (also called glycerol) is a kosher certified colorless, odorless, viscous liquid. It is derived from plant sources and is used as a humectant in skincare and hair care formulations.

Sucrose

Sucrose is common table sugar, composed of glucose and fructose. It is a sweetening agent used in various food products.

Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES)

SLES is a surfactant commonly used in personal care products. It acts as a foaming agent and cleanser.

Sodium Laurate

Sodium laurate is another surfactant used in cosmetics. It helps dissolve dirt and oils.

Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (EDTA)

EDTA is a chelating agent used to bind metal ions in cosmetic formulations. It helps stabilize products and prevent oxidation.

Goat Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base

Recipes

1. TURMERIC & GOAT MILK SOAP

To make 5 (100g bars) of turmeric & goat milk soap, melt 520g of soapy twist goat milk melt and pour soap base in a microwave or double boiler (as mentioned above).
Make a thick paste of 10g raw turmeric powder with 2-3 tablespoon of warm water.
Once the base is melted, add turmeric powder paste, 2.5g turmeric essential oil and 2.5g orange essential oil to it and stir well.
Pour the mixture into the mould and let it set.
Once set, de-mould the soap. Your soap is ready to use

2. GOAT MILK & WALNUT SOAP

To make 5 (100g bars) of goat milk and walnut soap, melt 520g of soapy twist goat milk melt and pour soap base in a microwave or a double boiler (as mentioned above).
Once the base is melted, add 10g walnut powder to it and stir well. Add 5g of your favorite soap fragrance oil (or any essential oil) and stir.
Pour the soap into the mould and let it set.
Once set, de-mould the soap. Your exfoliating soap is ready to use
You can also replace walnut powder with orange peel powder to make orange peel & goat milk soap

Is Honey Soap Base good for skin ?

Yes, Honey Soap Base with its abundant dose of antioxidants, is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and offers extra moisturization to the skin. By regular use of Honey soap, your skin feels supple, hydrated and gives out a natural radiant glow.

Can you put real Honey in soap ?

Although this soap base has natural, raw honey incorporated already, but for additional benefits if you wish to add more honey, you may do so. Make sure you do not exceed more than 1% of your total output. Also make a small batch of soap to check how this addition affects the lather of soap.

How many soaps can be made from 1Kg Soap Base ?

You can make 10 Soap bars of 100 grams each from 1 KG Soap base.

Can you add Aloe Vera Gel to your honey soap?

Yes, you may add any herb or botanical like Aloe Vera Gel to your honey soap base, just make sure to keep your dosage to 1% of your total output.

Is Soap Base made from natural ingredients ?

Soapy Twist Soap Bases are made with pharma-grade ingredients which are essentially plant-based. So from that point of view, yes our soap bases are natural. However, our ‘Natural’ Soap Base is an exclusive formula that has been prepared by using ECO-certified ingredients and therefore it is certified by Uni Cosmos as ‘Natural’. This is the closest you can get to an organic soap base in melt and pour soap bases.
