The Soapy Twist Lotion Base is an easily customizable sulfate & paraben-free, mineral oil and silicone-free formula that is also paraffin-free. Soapy Twist shares with you a basic recipe with which you can customize a variety of options from just 1 jar of Soapy Twist Lotion base and get 750 grams of lotion a bottle for every mood!
Ingredients:
Recipe:
Step 1.
Weigh and add Soapy Twist Lotion Base to a sanitized wide-mouthed container.
Step 2.
Choose your additive: An additive is a further nourishing, conditioning, and hydrating ingredient that makes your body lotion unique. You can choose from
- Aloe Vera Gel: mostly used to blend in clays @ 2 %
- Cosmetic Clays: Apart from imparting natural color to your lotion, they also offer skin nourishing and conditioning properties. Always add @ 1%
- Body Butter: Adding a choice of butter to your lotion makes it exotic and luxurious, adding to the nourishing and conditioning properties of your exotic DIY Body lotion. Always remember to melt and add the butter @ 1%
- Carrier Oil: The most popular is Vitamin E Oil, but any carrier oil can be added to your lotion to further enhance its conditioning ability, quality, and texture. Always use carrier oil @ 1%
Step 3.
Choose Your Lotion Scent: While perfume for your body lotion can be a fragrance oil, which comes in a great variety, but does not offer any benefits, adding a natural essential oil to your lotion will make it richer and exclusive to your skin’s requirements.
Soapy Twist has introduced a variety of allergen-free fragrance Oils for customers who may have sensitive skin and may not wish to add essential oils to their lotion. The allergen-free fragrance is free from all the potential 24 allergy-causing ingredients that have been outlined in the 7th amendment of the EU cosmetics directive.
Step 4
Mix all the ingredients one by one in the lotion base till they are incorporated fully and within 10 minutes, your lotion for every mood will be ready to use.
