HOW TO USE ?

HOW TO USE SULFATE FREE LAUNDRY WASH BASE

Step 1

WEIGH AND POUR SULFATE FREE LAUNDRY WASH BASE

As shown above, in a sanitized beaker weigh and pour the Sulfate Free Laundry Wash Base.

Step 2

ADD THE EXTRACTS

Add all the extracts one by one. Remain within the recommended dosage of 0.1 % to 1 % when adding liquid extracts. It’s advisable to first try different extracts in small batches to observe how the ingredients interact with each other before making bigger batches.

Step 3

ADD THE FRAGRANCE OIL / ESSENTIAL OIL

Add Essential oils / Fragrance Oils up to 2 %. Water Soluble Fragrances are highly recommended. Also, note that the addition of Essential Oils / Fragrance oils may make the liquid soap appear cloudy. To dissolve the essential oils, pre-heat the base to 35 - 40°C then add the essential oils as required (typically add 0.3 – 0.5%) & stir for 5-15 minutes, or until the essential oils are fully dispersed or in some cases, fully dissolved.

Step 4

ADJUST THE VISCOSITY OF YOUR NATURAL CASTILE LIQUID SOAP

The viscosity of the Sulfate Free Laundry Wash Base is low (It is thin). If you find that your Laundry wash is a bit runny, you may add a salt Solution* a spoonful at a time and mix till the body wash becomes thick. • To make the salt solution, take 48 grams of water add 12 grams of salt to it, and keep it aside.

Step 5

MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS WELL

Stir again to ensure that the perfume oil is infused fully, and all the ingredients are blended in homogeneously. Pour this laundry wash in a sanitized pump bottle or a glass/pet bottle and store at room temperature in a clean and dry place.

Microencapsulation is a process in which tiny particles or droplets of actives are enclosed or coated with a protective or carrier material, forming microcapsules.

Our microencapsulated salicylic acid is easy to incorporate in most of the rinse off and leave on formulation. Unlike regular salicylic acid which is difficult to incorporate in formulations as it leads to viscosity reduction and destabilises the formula , our microencapsulated salicylic acid doesn't affect the your product stability.

The major advantage of microencapsulated salicylic acid is its effective delivery into the skin and scalp. The microencapsulated salicylic acid in the final products breaks when its applied (shear) on skin or scalp which leads to targeted delivery of Salicylic acid. This helps in better results of Salicylic acid in a product.

How To Use : Addition of microencapsulated salicylic acid is recommended to be done in cool down phase (below 45 degree centigrade) or last stages in most formulations with gentle stirring.

This can be cold processed as well i.e. it be added in bases like shampoo , body wash or face wash just before addition of fragrance.

Dosages : -

Rinse off products - 0.5 to 6% (Effective Salicylic Acid - 0.15% to 1.8%)

Leave on products - 0.1 to 2% (Effective Salicylic Acid - 0.03% to 0.6%)

Please note that adding this product can change the consistency of the your formula. Please try in a small batch first to check stability.
